Born and raised in New Zealand, Tysen has spent over fifteen years working alongside architects and builders, first in construction, then behind the camera. That background shaped how he sees a building: not as a finished object, but as something that unfolds through the day.
His process reflects this. He spends time within a space as light moves through rooms, across facades and surfaces, and through thresholds. He waits. The architecture reveals itself the way it was designed to be experienced, slowly, in quiet moments most people walk right past.
